FALL in Love

[via

This Sunday marks the first day of fall. And, if you haven't figured out yet, it's pretty much my favorite time of year. Ok, it is my favorite time of year. See 101 reasons here and here.

There's just something about it. It's nostalgic yet there's a feeling of anticipation in the air. As the seasons begin to start all over again, you too feel like you can start all over again.

So here's to a fresh start. Here's to fall. I can't wait.

Hats, err shoes and handbags, off to you, Valentino

Remember awhile ago, okay, it was almost exactly two years ago, odd coincidence, I shared with you a favorite advertising campaign of mine.

Well, if you were peeking through any of those bloated September issues, you too may have noticed someone else had a similar campaign up their sleeves.

Well, it's not as good as the first one, I'm still digging it.

Hats, err shoes and handbags, off to you, Valentino.

Apartment LOVE: Amelia Eaton

Thanks to The EveryGirl, I'm apparently moving all over Chicago. Last week, they nearly had me convinced to move to River North for this gem.

I didn't know such charm existed in that part of the city. Yes, color my biased. Very biased. Of course this professional multitasker, Law Student slash Blogger Amelia Eaten of The Chicago Life Blog could pull this off.

And I couldn't wait to share it with all of you.

9.16.13

[via]

Can I have a do-over from last week? Because I'm pretty sure I failed on almost all of my let's back into a routine resolutions declared last Monday.

+ Getting up on time and putting outfits together with thought...Nope.

+ and adding them to instagram...Nope.

+ Working out daily...ehhh 3/5

+ yes, maybe even the weekends...Nope.

+ Reading more...Nope.

+ and actually finishing books I start. [I'm between this and this currently]...HAH. Nope.

+ Eating healthier, the last week with the Jewish holidays and my mom's birthday were really a bust...a little better.

+ i even plan to start cooking more, and trying out some new recipes I've had flagged for awhile...Nope.

I was feeling like I was in a bit of rut last week and really didn't accomplish anything I set out to do. Good job, Carly, good job. So here's to doing all that, this week. And here's to second chances.

Currently-
Listening: Same Love. I love Mary Lambert's voice.
Eating: Leftovers and Lettuce Entertain You. Two days till our scratch off coupons expire!
Drinking: The usual suspects: Water with lemon. Pumpkin Coffee.
Feeling: good, it's fall outside :)
Wanting: all my Phillip Lim for Target purchases to arrive. I've already decided I have to return half of it as I went a little overboard filling my shopping cart and checking out, then doing it again. My 2 bag purchases, however, will be staying.
Needing: to have some better dreams. My Saturday night dream was beyond bizarre.
Thinking: it would be really cool if this actually spelled something out. LEDFWNTEW.
Enjoying: that fall shows are about to return: New Girl this week!
Wondering: If there will be a Now You See Me sequel. I quite enjoyed it last night. Boy does Jesse Eisenberg play smug well.

Happy Birthday Harry!

I know, I don't typically blog on the weekends but I didn't want to let the day pass and not wish my wonderful, and dare I say adorable, boyfriend the very happiest of birthdays. xo

Sneak Peek: J.Crew S/S 2014

As promised, I snuck some of J.Crew's Spring/Summer 2014 Collection. I'm diggin' the colors (blue and orange), the patterns, the stripes and those amazing and snazzy olive and glittery cargo pants. And it continues, I've never met a J.Crew season I didn't like.j

What do you think?
