  3. I finally went to Girl & The Goat and tried Goat Ribs AND Pig Face. Check. Check.
  4. I worked out with a trainer 3x....and on my own 1x. I'm doing a pretty good job of working out 3-4 times a week these days. Hoping to boost it up to 4-5. Regardless, another check.

  6. I bought BRAND new knives from Gilt. Kitchen Aid 18 piece set for $60!
  7. I had my office holiday party and got to enjoy the wonderful people I work with.
  8. At such, I told Lance Briggs to tell Gabe Carimi a fellow Wisconsin Jew says what up. Yes. I'm for real.... embarrassing.
  9. I worked my BUTT off gathering and  finalizing holiday details for clients
  10. Now, I have my family in town for the weekend! So I'm off to enjoy them and the weekend off after a CRAZY work week
    1. We'll be hitting up RPM
    2. Watching the Badgers play at the 2nd annual Big 10 Championship
    3. Visiting Zoolights at the LP Zoo
    4. And maybe even some shopping
    5. Perhaps I'll find time to fit in a Target run too.
    6. Yes, December 1 is tomorrow.

Ding dong

Today marks the first official start to my series and I'm starting with exteriors. I'm a big fan of classic looks. Picture traditional looks, country homes, colonials and white pillars, big and welcoming french doors and front porches.

Which one do you like best?

Home Sweet Home

You know, when I was little, I wanted to be an architect. I have absolutely 0 idea why. But to this today, I have a fascination with architecture: buildings and homes, both inside and outside. I think it may be one of the reasons I enjoy interior design so much, brings me back to something I liked when I was little. They do say something about the dreams you have before you know better...so maybe I was on to something then. And ever since, I've had the dream to one day build a home from scratch making it exactly the way I've always wanted it. So when I decided to do my 101 things in 1,001 days, I added this:

I guess I figured it would be good practice. For someday. So over the next few weeks, I'm starting a brand new series taking you through the home room by room and sharing some of my favorite looks. Maybe I'll be able to better define my design aesthetic once I'm done, maybe not. But my future home will thank me anyway.

So with that, today, I am actually showing you my dream home, as seen in one of my favorite movies. And yes, I like the movie version of the house better, more my style, than the house as we know it...or rather as the owners decorated and designed it hence why you're only seeing those. To see the actual house visit the link above!

Thanksgiving Week, it's upon us. And I cannot be more excited to venture home this week for my favorite holiday of the year. Its also my favorite meal of the year: Turkey, Gravy, Mash Potatoes, Cranberry Sauce, maybe even Mom's Jell-o mold, too, Tsimmes, and more. What is there not to like about it? So this week, I'll be posting Monday - Wednesday and then I'll catch you after the holiday!

This week, I...

 + am painting my nails with one hand in essie's ballet slippers and one hand in Carnival

 + will continue kicking butt aka my two-a-week training sessions. Last week we did measurements and BMI analysis to track changes,

 + sadly started watching Christmas movies, I love christmas movies. Tonight, after returning from Madison, I put on The Family Stone and enjoyed every moment of it.

 + have a day chalk full of meetings on Tuesday

 + will be taking off Wednesday - Monday morning for a much needed vacation to New England

 + am looking forward to lazy days, spending time with my family and playing with Dunk

 + might venture out to experience my first Black Friday shopping adventure. I'm usually the type to do all my shopping the Wednesday before and avoid Malls and anything that sells anything on Black Frida. It's the combination of crowds and waking up very early
...BUT I may make an exception for the outlet malls near me, which are may be opening up at 12pm

 + may potentially run or walk the Feaster Five in my hometown

 + as previously stated, will be enjoying friends, family and delicious food for Thanksgiving

+ wish I could pull off chambray or flannel with a tutu. I love tutus

It's pronounced Tar-jay

For anyone NOT living under a rock, or not watching Revenge, thanks to that horrible "Gift of Revenge" spot on this Sunday's episode, you've probably heard about Neiman Marcus' partnership with Target. Since it's announcement, it has been speculated to be one of the most successful partnerships Target has done, probably since Missoni flew off the shelves.

Confession: Liberty and Target's partnership has been my favorite partnership to date.

We'll see how this one stands up to the rest...on December 1. I'll eye-ing anything Marc Jacobs, the beautiful Tracy Reese top below, The Altuzarra Shaker, okay, I'll be ripping things out of far too many peoples hands. Now you tell me, what are you rushing in to Target for?

[Alice + Olivia / Altuzarra / Band of Outsiders /
Jason Wu / Judith Leiber / Lela Rose /
Proenza Schouler / rag & bone / Robert Rodriguez]

[Brian Atwood / Carolina Herrara'
Marc Jacobs / Marchesa
Rodarte / Skaist-Taylor]

[Derek Lam / Diana Von Furstenberg / Eddie Borgo

Zzzzzz

Today's bittersweet as it marks the end of my very first blog series. I am pretty proud of myself though. It's certainly been a fun one and I'm excited to continue different blogging series here.

...And by the way, Z was a pretty easy one. I was quite shocked myself.

Z is for...
  1. Zac Posen and how cute are these two dresses on Shopbop? (one / two)
  2. Zest, lemon, lime, orange, you name it. Plus, how pretty are these microplanes?
  3. Z Gallerie, which is pretty great for moderately priced yet great home goods and decor
  4. ...and yes, check out their zig zag rug
  5. "I'm pretty sure there's a lot more to life than being really, really, ridiculously good looking. And I plan on finding out what that is. " - Derek Zoolander
  6. The Zooparticularly the Lincoln Park Zoo in the winter, especially during Zoolights
  7. Number 7. You know, Matt Saracen, I mean Zach Gilford.
  8. Have you shopped Zhush? I recently discovered it and am a big big fan. Similar to Z Gallerie, it's a great place for even more affordable home decor items.
  9. And sleeping, hence the Zzzzz, title. Ask anyone, I'm a bigggg sleeper.

You know, I think Monday gets a bad rap. Yes, yes, going back to work after two delicious days off can be tough. But honestly, I don't find it to be the worst day of the week. Think about it: Sunday's impending doom? Frankly, Tuesdays are my least favorite day. I think it's because Monday's are typically pretty busy: catching up on emails from over the weekend and starting new projects. Tuesdays when you get into the grind and the weekend is still 3 days away, now that's tough. What do you think? What's your least favorite day of the week?

This week, I...

+ will secretly be enjoying the change in temperature and drop of 30 degrees (70 today, 38 tomorrow) and the arrival of a few flurries. There's something about the first snow of the year, while I'm not yet ready to say goodbye to fall something about it fills me with anticipation

+ am going to get my butt kicked. my trainer and I are doing three sessions this week, kind of nervous, kind of exciting. I love love love the feeling of being sore.

+ will be donating $75 dollars to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. Thanks to all of you leaving comments last week. I loved hearing from so many of you.

+ have no excuse but to cook for myself this week, no evening plans at all, which is rare these days

+ will finally get to talk to my mom again; she's been away in Vietnam and I miss talking to her

+ am going to attempt to get my mom to take off next Wednesday and play with me all day. Pretty please??

+ will head up to Madison to see the Badgers play the undefeated, yet ineligible, Buckeyes.

+ hope to see, in person, Montee Ball match and break the NCAA Career Touchdowns Record

+ will finish my first ever blogging series

+ start planning my Holiday Gift guides, which will begin in the coming weeks

+ plan to embrace my new discovery that a Chai Latte has less calories than a Pumpkin Spice Latte. Color me excited.

+ cannot believe that Thanksgiving is next week. Where did the time go?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Currently...
listening: All at Once, The Fray. This is one of my favorite songs when I need a boost in energy, used to listen to it in HS as I got ready for ski practice. Something about the intro with the beat.
eating: my typical breakfast, scrambled eggs
drinking: chai tea latte, see above.
wearing: my winter gear, dressed for the cold. Look to the right!...and I see the Hollywood Sign....had to!
feeling: like it's one of those Mondays where I can take on the world
wanting: a trip to a mall, you know, a real mall. It's one of those things I took for granted, now living in a city, everything is in different places, you either have to walk or drive, the weathers a factor...you get it. I really want a trip to the mall. And of course, to go shopping. It's been awhile, believe it or not. Yes, I know I said something along those lines last week.
needing: To talk to my mom...finally!
thinking: JJ Watt, Chocolate Pudding. He's been pretty great for Houston. Yes, there were 4 Badger Alums on the field last night, 3 of which starting.
enjoying: the frost on my window!
wondering: what ever happened to my J.Crew bracelet. It's lost and I cannot find it. If I were my bracelet, where would I be?
